Lyudmila Shcherbakova, president of the pharmaceutical holding BRIGH WAY GROUP, reached the first Forbes Woman rating of self-made women in Russia
The first rating of self-made women in Russia Forbes Woman includes 20 richest self-made women in Russia who have achieved success on their own.
The rating has become an alternative to the list of the richest women in Russia, first released in 2014. The composition of the rating changed every year, the list became more and more wives or ex-wives of businessmen, on whom they either rewrote their own assets, or gave them part of the assets as a result of a divorce. Therefore, the editors of Forbes Woman decided to create an alternative rating of women who achieved results on their own, or who actively participate in the family business (but did not inherit it), or conduct business with partners.
For counting, Forbes uses a specially developed methodology in which the value of an entrepreneur's fortune is made up of assets belonging to him, for example, shares of companies and real estate. All public companies are valued by market capitalization. Closed companies are valued on the basis of data on sales volumes, profits, equity capital, compared with similar companies in terms of indicators, traded on the stock exchange or in the recent past that have become the object of purchase and sale transactions. In the first Russian rating of self-made women, the price of public companies was fixed on January 15, 2021. The age of the rating participants is indicated on February 25, 2021.
